Mosaic
An Intuition-Based Career Experimentation App
Mosaic is a tool designed for multi-passionate people navigating career transitions and creative expansions. Inspired by research from Harvard’s Herminia Ibarra (Working Identity) and Megan Hellerer (Directional Living), the app helps users identify, test, and track multiple career paths through small, meaningful experiments.
Rather than forcing users toward one linear goal, Mosaic visualizes how their interests, actions, and emotions connect — revealing patterns that point toward a Mosaic of more fulfilling work.

Built with AI at it’s center
As a self-proclaimed product and design nerd, I dove right into AI building and design tools in Miro and Figma — and built the entire app using Based44. This crash cores in AI taught me invaluable best practices for building, designing, and iterating with AI.
Process & Approach
User Research: Conducted qualitative research with career changers, creatives, and multipotentialites to understand the emotional and practical barriers to career experimentation.
Behavioral Framework: Grounded the experience in learn-by-doing and emotional reflection principles from career change research and cognitive behavioral psychology.
UX & Visual Design: Designed a mobile prototype featuring circular “career tiles,” a task logging system with AI-generated micro-experiments, and a correlation visualization that maps effort vs. emotional satisfaction.
Focused on Function over Form: At this MVP phase it was importnate for make the app beautiful to increase trust and usability. However, it was vital to not get too caught up in perfectionism. Functionality was the primary goal for testing.
Onboarding & Copywriting: Crafted a warm, empathetic onboarding flow to reduce overwhelm and inspire curiosity, encouraging users to follow intuition over perfection.
Technology: Built the low-fidelity MVP in Base44 with the goal of transitioning to a native app for iOS.
